Frequently Asked Questions

Keeping Things Simple. Doing The Right Thing.

Chiropractic websites don’t need to be complicated or cost a fortune. Choose ChiroPage for a simple, rewarding experience that puts you and your practice first without a bunch of gimmicks, gotchas, or attempts to upsell you things you do not need.

Who owns the website content?

You own all content, though the design itself is licensed by ChiroPage from freelance web designers. If you leave our service, you may take all content and materials with you, though to keep the design itself may need to pay a licensing fee. Every website hosted on our servers is considered as copyrighted by your office, not by ChiroPage.

If we hold your domain in our portfolio (no charge to you and keeps things simple) it will always be registered under your name, address and phone number, though with our email address for support purposes.

How can ChiroPage stay in business at these prices?

We work hard to keep costs low, don’t keep unnecessary services or business functions, and every member of our team does also do other work as well (whether for other Dominion Ventures companies or other agencies). This decentralized approach minimizes our overhead and allows us to bring you great, experienced support at low prices.

How do I send you my content?

You can send us content in the form of email messages, text messages, or attachments to emails. We’ll take what we get from you and put it up on the site.

Do you offer email service?

We do not offer email services but are happy to refer you to our preferred provider or help you connect the email service provider of your choice.

How do I track stats or gain access to stats?

Our approach to website statistics is that if you register an account somewhere to monitor your website, we’ll install the tracking codes. Just send us the codes we need to add and we will get them connected. We have not typically set up tracking accounts for clients as most want to manage them themselves.

I work with a marketing agency. Is ChiroPage a good fit?

We have a few clients who are under contract with expensive marketing firms who track their website hits, conversions, phone marketing, and provide blog content. We’re happy to post blog content or integrate tracking codes, but would appreciate discussing ahead of time larger projects so we, you and your marketing team can be on the same page. We don’t do custom design projects (including from marketing wire frames), but are committed to providing all clients with great, friendly, professional and responsive support.

I've never heard of you before. Can I trust you?

Our team has years of experience with WordPress websites and chiropractic websites in general. Though we have only been organized as ChiroPage since 2021, we bring experience to the table and know what works and doesn’t. We have been in the industry for much longer and are happy to share our experiences and expertise as far as what works and what we recommend.

What does your monthly service charge include?

Our monthly service charge includes maintenance (security and updates) of your site, a SSL certificate so your website displays as secure, proactive defense against hackers and denial of service attacks, content updates whenever you send them to us, optimization for mobile devices and staying up on the latest changes with regard to browser and mobile device compatibility as well as search engine and local search/maps trends. If we manage your domain on your behalf, your service charge also includes your domain registration as well as privacy features for that domain.

This sounds too good to be true! How do I know this is legit?

Give our service a try and see for yourself. Our billing is through Square, a secure third-party payment processor. Our service is month to month so there are no long term contracts. You can point your domain to our service while holding it yourself for as long as you want. And you can ask our support team anything by text or email.

Will I show up on Google (SEO)?

All of our sites include basic SEO through a system called Yoast as well as automatic submission to Google, Bing and other search engines anytime a page is updated or added. We also encourage you to set up your own Google Business Profile to manage your Google Maps listing so that you are the principal owner of it, though you are welcome to delegate access to us if you are the principal owner.

Do you support video content?

A number of our doctors have videos on their website! As a general rule we handle video by embeds (usually uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo first, or other video hosts, and then embedded into our website). Or if videos are sent to us to post then we upload them to our private YouTube or Vimeo accounts (not accessible anywhere else or searchable under our YouTube channel, just embedded in the site). That makes for smoother playback with less load on our server than if it were hosted directly within the account. Then the video is optimized for smooth playback and the clearest possible picture that the browser/internet connection viewing the video can support.

Is my website HIPAA compliant?

Our service just includes a website and is not part of any EHR software. What info the site collects is up to you, as far as any tracking you choose to have us install for you, and any contact forms you choose to have us embed.  Our basic form sends a plain text message to your email address which is then stored in your email system. We can also embed more advanced and secure forms direct to your EHR or marketing platform if desired.

Can I keep my current phone number and domain?

Of course you can keep your current phone number and domain. We believe that companies that provide a phone number for you (other than your real number with your phone company) are doing you a disservice because if you ever leave them, you lose that number. We do not get involved with that. And yes, your domain is yours and will remain so. Whether or not we manage it for you, it is your domain.  The only instance where we might end up stuck hanging on to a domain is if a client dropped off, quit paying, quit responding and with no contact there was no way to get it transferred to anyone. But that is a hypothetical as it’s never happened to us.

How long does it take to go live?

Once we have all the materials from you which we need to build the site (photos, text content, logo, forms, etc.) we are typically able to provide you a draft preview to look at in about 5-7 business days. This can take longer if materials trickle in (you don’t have them ready up front and need to send a little at a time). When you approve the draft preview, if we already have the domain in our portfolio we will take it live the same or next business day.  If we don’t have it in our portfolio, we’ll instruct you on how to set nameservers to point to our service and then going live will happen a couple of hours after you do that.

What if I need to add a new doctor or service later?

All updates are included. Just text or email us the changes and we’ll make them for you. It’s that easy!

Do you provide the photos, or do I?

You need to provide your own photos for the website. In certain instances we may provide a stock photo if needed, but it is best to provide your own photos showing your actual office, yourself and your staff, as opposed to generic imagery that is not really of you or your practice.

How do I reach you?

You can email us through this website or through a dedicated support email we’ll give you after you sign up. And you can text us anytime at (833) 447-4609.

Will you raise the price down the road?

As long as you stay on the same web design, the price you sign up for is the price you pay per month. If you join us during a sale period, you keep that sale price.

If you want to change your design to a newer offering, please discuss with us. We do have some older sites from a previous sale that may need to get on current pricing in order to get a new web design (essentially having a brand new ChiroPage website built), but as long as the website stays on the same design the price signed up for never changes.

Can I log in to my website to make my own changes?

By default we do not allow self-editing because we offer a simple, done-for-you service where it is quickest and most efficient to receive your changes, assign them to one of our professionals, and that person logs in, goes right to what needs to be changed, updates it and saves it. This eliminates any risk of something going wrong, back-and-forth support on “how do I do this”, a need to publish tutorial content, and lets you focus on adjusting patients since all you need to do is email or text us to get something done.

If you have a marketing company who wants to log in and make bigger, more sweeping changes, ChiroPage may not be the best service for you. We believe in doing the right thing and being honest and up-front and that’s the true answer.

There may be instances where it would be appropriate to set up a limited editor account for someone to modify a page or publish new posts but in five years we haven’t actually encountered someone who wants to do that versus just emailing new page or post content to us.

Will you upsell me other services like ads, social media marketing, listings, or video content?

We do not upsell anything. We’re happy to integrate as needed with any of the plethora of other companies out there who are offering these services to you, but you should make a free decision on who you want to work with and engage with them directly, asking us to place any new content on your website as needed or provided.

What technologies is ChiroPage built upon?

We use Linux servers running the latest patched versions of our particular distribution. Fully up-to-date and licensed WHM and Cpanel (no access given to clients for any reason; this is ChiroPage policy) with a premium anti-malware package. WordPress Multisite with regular updates. Professional designs or WP child themes with agency licenses. All content is served via Cloudflare CDN utilizing Cloudflare caching and web application firewall.

Do you install custom WordPress plugins?

As a general rule we do not, as our service is a done-for-you service where we have already made the decisions as far as design and integration plugins for each of our design templates. However, if you need a specific plugin for a tracking code, click targeting campaign, etc. please let us know. We are generally good with adding this sort of plugin, but not plugins that change the look and feel of the site, take a lot of system resources, compromise the security of our platform, or extend the website to do more than intended or needed.

What about ADA compliance?

We support the free tier of the UserWay plugin as an optional addition for better ADA compliance. Just let us know if you would like it enabled on your website. If you need a higher tier you may purchase a UserWay subscription and provide it to us to install on your website.
